Slovak Championship Calendar for 2016 will be opened, just as in the previous season, by Hungarian Eger Rallye. Its 11th edition will take place already on 1-3 April on traditional stages around city of Eger. Up to 16 special stages are prepared for competitors.
Laroco Motorsport Egyesület together with Slovak co-organizer Auto Klub Košice, prepared for the first weekend of April a popular two-leg Eger Rallye 2016. The competition will open this year's Slovak Rally Championship, Hungarian Rally Championship, the Hungarian Rally Challenge, the Historic Championships of both countries, Slovak Rally Cup, Hungarian Rallye2 but also FIA Central European Zone rally and will also be the second race of the FIA Central European Zone Historic Rally.
Headquarters will this year return to the Hotel Eger & Park on Szálloda street. There will take place Fridays (CEZ, ORB, MSR, HIST, MSRH, ORC) respectively Saturday's (R2, SRP) administrative checks. Scrutineering area in comparison with last year's season did not changed, the place remained Automobil Eger Kft on Faiskola street and the location of the service park at a market on the street Kisasszony was also not changed. A new feature is alocation of vehicles in parc fermé on Töviskes tér Square right after scrutineering, where from cars first come out for the evening ceremonial start.
Overall length of the route is 454.4 km, of which 144.5 km is composed by 16 special stages. First racing day is Saturday into which crews will start at 8:30 and the first of them will be expected in parc fermé about 18:57. On Sunday, the crews will go on the rally route at 8:30 and aim to start coming to Finish at the afternoon. Announcement of results and awards ceremony is scheduled for 14:33 at the square Eszterházy tér. Crews of Slovak Rally Cup and Rallye2 should get a total track length of 159.4 km, of which 60 km consists of 6 special stages. The Competition day for them is Sunday, to which will start at 7:00 and they arrive to finish podium just before the crews of major championships, at about 13:11.
